Once upon a time…
B orn in good ol’ Russia and raised in Germany. I started out in the gaming industry designing websites, icons, coming up with character designs, many many many textures and lots of interface designs.
After that, I worked for different advertising agencies designing various mobile apps, icons and websites as well as creating the cover art design for the Nero 11 Package (Regular and Platinum Editions) and the consumer website for Humax.
Then, in 2010 I decided to do my own thing and started working as a freelancer by founding Gursky Design. So in the daytime I worked for an advertising agency and in the evenings I was trying to juggle my freelancing projects. It took me a bit to realize that in order to rock the freelancing thing, I’d need to do it fulltime. The perfect moment came when my son was born. I quit the job and the “no-life-besides-agency” work mantra.
These days I’m happy and thankful to work for various (inter)national clients ranging from start-ups like busliniensuche.de, Fresheads, Fruitziyama – medium sized companies like Chrono24, Deck13, Emnicon, Explain, LifePark Max and huge corporations such as 1&1, EnBW, WEB.DE, GMX and VR-NetWorld/Volksbank Raiffeisenbank.
I work because I love this shit
My drive and inspiration is to set the benchmark on unique and beautiful design that heavily focuses on user experience and also has the best possible functionality.
I’m all about whipping up sweet interfaces, icons, apps, websites and illustrations. My stuff is always pixel-perfect, thought-through and crafted with great passion. I am good at what I do and that is because I just fucking love what I’m doing.
That being said, I’m especially awesome in everything mobile related and when it comes to the Apple’s iOS, Google’s Android or Microsoft’s Windows platforms.
Need some proof? Check out Threepointer for example. It was an amazing and probably the best Windows Phone client for Dribbble out there for any mobile platform at that time but unfortunately, it’s discontinued at the moment.
